Lolo Forest

Rather than travel back to my campground near Fort Fizzle on the route I had just used, I used a Forestry Road to see some different sights and perspectives. Much of this was on FR 451 officially through the Clearwater National Forest through the Bitterroot Range of mountains, south of Highway 12. Most of the road was in very good shape. It went from the pass, down into the Brishy Fork and Spruce Creek Valley, then back over the ridge into the Lolo Creek Valley. I have a very detailed map of the area. It was not that hard to find my way, even with lots of small logging roads. Most of the time, the road is only a little over one lane wide. I traveled over 20 miles before I even saw another vehicle. And, that was as I got back into the Lolo Creek Valley. - Lolo Forest -
