This site marked the final spike in the railroad built from Evarts, North Dakota to Seattle. Unlike other roalroad lines which received land tracts as an inducement to build, this line was done at the expence of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific railroad. - Deer Lodge, Montana -
